Digital Strategist Snr Level

We need a highly skilled Senior Digital Strategist who thrives in the digital landscape. This individual must be a T-shaped owner with deep expertise in broader digital strategy and a broad understanding of the full digital ecosystem.

Crucial to this role is an innate ability to understand customer centricity, customer experience, and brand experience. Beyond technical expertise, we seek a passionate problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail, a proactive thinker always in search of the best possible solutions.

Role Overview

  • The Digital Strategist will drive innovative and highly effective digital marketing strategies for our clients and act as a thought leader within the digital community. Excellent client management, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills are essential.
  • This role will ensure innovative strategic thinking is applied to clients' digital plans and will lead the agency in creating groundbreaking digital strategies. A key function is to enhance the agency's knowledge, skills, and abilities in digital marketing and technology-driven initiatives.
  • The Digital Strategist will leverage their deep understanding of digital campaign execution (web, mobile, social, CRM, SEO) while collaborating with creative, technical, and client service teams. Providing thought leadership to staff and clients, conducting client workshops, and facilitating knowledge sharing are also crucial aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and the Account Management team to define scope and recommended approaches for major digital projects.
  • Serve as a digital strategy advisor to both account leads and clients.
  • Align digital marketing strategy with client business goals and objectives.
  • Lead high-level discussions on the role of digital within the total marketing ecosystem.
  • Partner with Account Management leaders to demonstrate the value of digital marketing services to clients, helping them define needs and potential solutions.
  • Utilize research tools to define target audiences and optimize marketing and campaign plans.
  • Research, identify, and compile competitive insights to guide and optimize digital marketing efforts.
  • Develop powerful digital marketing plans that meet client objectives.
  • Deliver compelling client presentations and demonstrate strong business communication skills.
  • Possess a solid understanding of traditional marketing principles and their application to the digital medium.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital marketing and success factors.
  • Have five years+ experience in a client-centered, agency environment.
  • Perform detailed evaluations of client business environments, including customer needs, capabilities/assets, and competitive realities, to identify unique market opportunities and threats.
  • Lead the design of insight-driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through experience definition. Structure and present recommendations to senior client leadership for approval.
  • Partner with creative, technology, analytics, and account management teams to ensure successful project hand-off and long-term success.

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following software experience:

  • Experience in strategy consulting and/or marketing strategy across multiple industries and in an agency environment.
  • Professional experience developing digital marketing strategy, project managing digital programs and online advertising campaigns; prefer large brand experience. With demonstrated experience.
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media and the Internet; specific consumer engagement strategy experience required.
  • Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and deck writing skills.
