About the Role:

Design Bridge & Partners South Africa seeks a highly experienced and innovative Creative Director to lead our growing digital design team (primarily focused on UI and UX). You will play a leading role in translating brand strategies and corporate identity solutions into web, native, and other applications. As Creative Director, you will be responsible for building the creative capabilities and reputation of our agency and ensuring our work is strategically sound, innovative, and of the highest quality.

This role requires you to be physically based in our Cape Town office and work from there at least three days a week. You will work with clients and creative teams in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. You will report to the agencys Creative Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the creative team in developing and executing outstanding creative solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.

· Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients on all creative matters.

· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, strategic, and on-brief creative solutions.

· Develop and implement creative processes and best practices that ensure quality and efficiency in delivering all creative work.

· Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence within the creative team and inspire them to produce their best work.

· Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in creative design, branding, and marketing.

As an experienced designer with UI and UX experience, you will:

· Work with our UX strategists to define intuitive user experiences (e.g., storytelling, personas, process flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes).

· Consult stakeholders in decision-making for user flows, sitemaps, design, and feasibility.

· Plan, execute, and present wireframe mock-ups and proofs of concept to stakeholders to ensure needs and expectations are met and sell the vision behind user experiences.

· Identify and execute opportunities for improvements to the user experience, products, and tools, and actively improve your scope of knowledge, refine designs, and recommend improved solutions through available market research and customer data.

· Analyse industry best practices, new vendor offerings, learnings from metrics tracking, and market competitive analyses.

· Work with strategists to implement user analytics to monitor client behaviour metrics (browser, A/B/multivariate testing, etc.) and implement tags to provide information and determine ongoing improvements to our solutions.

· Create consistent and coherent UI component libraries aligned with the brands visual identity system and experience strategy, including developing Digital Style Guides.

· Document usage scenarios and use cases, content outlines, mock-ups/storyboards, and interactive prototypes.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in a creative leadership role within a brand agency or similar environment.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in UI design, design rollout, and digital guidelines development.

· Strong portfolio of work demonstrating outstanding creative direction, branding, and design.

· Deep understanding of branding, marketing, and design principles, and the ability to apply them strategically to achieve business objectives.

· Strong client relationship management skills, with experience building and maintaining strong client partnerships.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop creative teams.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across the agency.
