Data Quality Analyst - Fleet Performance

Do you thrive on precision, structure, and getting things right the first time? We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst - Fleet Performance to join our Ship Performance team. This role is critical to ensuring reliable vessel performance and emissions data, supporting regulatory compliance and operational excellence across our fleet. As a data quality analyst, you will combine attention to detail with strong ownership, working independently while collaborating across a global maritime organization.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Own end-to-end data quality across Odfjell Tankers' business applications, ensuring the integrity of vessel performance, emissions, regulatory reporting, and decision-making data.
• Serve as a control function for reporting and compliance, ensuring all regulatory submissions and verification processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with applicable requirements.
• Drive cross-functional resolution of data quality, documentation, and compliance issues across vessels, shore-based stakeholders, and external verifiers, operating with delegated authority from Manager Fleet Performance.
• Strengthen organizational reporting quality through guidance, training, and continuous improvement of systems, workflows, and governance standards.
• Act as an extension of the Manager Fleet Performance, working closely with Fleet Performance Bergen to ensure consistent adherence to defined standards and control requirements.

TASKS:

The Data Quality Analyst - Fleet Performance —

• Manages and prioritizes regulatory compliance alerts for vessels managed by Odfjell, Flumar, OSM Thome, and Sansho, ensuring timely handling and closure in line with established workflows.
• Executes end-to-end regulatory reporting and verification in ORCA Web for EU MRV, FuelEU, and IMO DCS, ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant data and successful vessel verification within required timelines under Bergen sponsorship.
• Reviews and validates reporting data, resolves discrepancies and documentation gaps, and drives verifier comments and complex compliance cases to closure with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitors and verifies Fuel ROB analysis reports for all vessels, ensures compliance with DNV-defined limits, and follows up on deviations where required.
• Leads engagement with external verifiers and internal stakeholders to secure timely submissions, maintain verification progress, and drive closure of findings.
• Contributes to testing, validation, and implementation activities for software updates, system enhancements, and process changes led by the Data Quality Lead within data quality, regulatory reporting, and compliance controls.
• Maintains complete, accurate, and updated records, systems, and task tracking to ensure effective handover and continuity during role changes, relocation, or employee departure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maritime/shipping background, or a relevant bachelor's degree
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data quality, data analysis, or handling large data volumes
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to make sound and timely decisions
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset

• Ability to prioritize pragmatically and make intuitive judgments when needed
• Capacity to work effectively in a multicultural environment
