The database designer is responsible for defining the detailed database design, including tables, indexes, views, constraints, triggers, stored procedures, and other database-specific constructs needed to store, retrieve, and delete persistent objects. This information is maintained in the Artifact: Data Model.

Requirements

·Data modeling and normalization techniques.

·Database querying and performance tuning knowledge.

·Database internals specific to the database engine required by the customer.

·Knowledge of ETL processes.

·Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting.

·Knowledge of general software architecture and design.

·Project management skills.

·Good communication skills.
