Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules, integration strategies, and development best practices, with a strong focus on API-based integrations, custom scripting, and deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with BAs and POs to understand and develop custom applications that integrate the ServiceNow catalog with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead technical initiatives related to the development of REST/SOAP interfaces between ServiceNow and other external systems.
- Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions considering large-scale architecture, including provisioning systems, authentication, APIs (both synchronous and asynchronous), master data management, and more.
- Provide expert advice on potential risks and constraints related to ServiceNow upgrades and other technical challenges.
- Oversee and implement integrations with third-party enterprise software, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
- Develop custom software solutions through scripting and software development within the ServiceNow platform.
- Deploy, test, and document digital solutions ensuring high-quality standards and meeting project goals.
- Install, configure, and integrate ServiceNow products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Participate in focus groups and meetings to analyze root causes and identify solutions for major incidents, offering proactive recommendations.
- Review code during team code review sessions to identify and address potential issues or improvement areas.
- Advocate ServiceNow best practices during the development of new features and ongoing deployments, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow guidelines.
- Identify potential technical risks and share quick-win solutions with project teams to mitigate project delays.
- Share technical and operational knowledge to enhance the usage and functionality of existing ServiceNow instances.
- Be a core contributor to instance upgrades, migrations, and major version transitions for ServiceNow implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modules including ITSM, ITBM, CSM, HRSD, Discovery, SO, Notifications, Third-Party Integrations, and App Engine.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in ServiceNow development and implementation, including custom applications, REST/SOAP integrations, and ServiceNow modules.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence to manage development processes and documentation.
- Strong functional and manual testing skills, with experience in automated testing frameworks.
- Experience in providing integration solutions and strategies for third-party enterprise software.
- A global vision and strong intuition to predict the impact of changes on the environment, recommending optimal solutions for issues.
- Ability to analyze project-sensitive technical constraints, share risks, and propose potential quick-wins.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and related modules.
