SAP FI-CO Product Leader

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI-CO Product Leader to join a project within the automotive and manufacturing industry, supporting the evolution and delivery of SAP S/4HANA solutions across Finance and Accounting processes.

The role focuses on SAP S/4HANA product leadership, delivery governance and Agile enablement, working with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams and delivery partners in an international environment. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling processes with the ability to coordinate end-to-end delivery, manage dependencies and drive topics forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the SAP FI-CO product area within an SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams and delivery partners.
  • Translate business needs into product priorities, requirements and actionable deliverables, challenging and clarifying requirements where necessary.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate delivery activities, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, dependencies and expected outcomes.
  • Support delivery governance, including progress tracking, risk and dependency management, blocker follow-up and escalation.
  • Facilitate Agile ways of working and support Scrum ceremonies and Agile delivery practices.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between business, Finance, SAP functional, technical and integration teams.
  • Support SAP FI-CO implementations, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the optimization and standardization of Finance and Accounting processes through SAP S/4HANA solutions.
  • Support integration activities between SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems, ensuring appropriate interface design, monitoring, validation and error resolution.
  • Coordinate testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, retesting and business validation.
  • Monitor deployment readiness and ensure that testing outcomes, business approvals and technical dependencies are properly addressed.
  • Monitor delivery outcomes and ensure alignment with business expectations.
  • Proactively identify and anticipate dependencies, risks and blockers, driving topics end-to-end and ensuring timely decisions and resolution.
  • Communicate progress, priorities, risks and delivery expectations clearly across multiple teams involved in the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience working with SAP FI-CO / SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
  • Previous experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Project Management, Program Management or Delivery Management.
  • Good understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling processes, including:

    • Actual costing and standard costing.
    • Month-end closing.
    • Profitability analysis.
    • Production costing, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
    • Fixed assets and capital projects.
    • Inventory management and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Understanding of SAP S/4HANA integrations, including interfaces, data mappings and dependencies between SAP and surrounding systems.
  • Ability to understand and coordinate interface design, monitoring, validation and error resolution in collaboration with technical and integration teams.
  • Strong functional and business understanding, with the ability to challenge, clarify and validate requirements related to Finance, Controlling and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with backlog prioritization, dependency management, delivery tracking and blocker resolution.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Understanding of testing and deployment processes, including SIT, UAT, defect management, retesting, business validation and deployment dependencies.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, delivery coordination and governance, with the ability to align business, functional, technical and integration teams.
  • Strong ownership and leadership mindset, with a proactive, structured approach to decision-making, dependency anticipation and end-to-end delivery.
  • Strong communication, organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to communicate progress, risks and priorities clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively with business and technical teams in a complex, international environment.
  • Fluent English.
