Commercial Real Estate Associate (Attorney)

 Job Description:

A nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its active Commercial Real Estate + Development practice in Boston.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least five years of sophisticated commercial real estate experience who wants to work directly with leading local and national developers on complex transactions while joining a firm recognized for its culture, wellness, professional development, and successful integration of lateral attorneys.

The practice handles sophisticated commercial real estate and development matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and public and private financing. The successful candidate will have meaningful responsibility for transactions and the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced attorneys and sophisticated clients.

Key Qualifications

  • Law degree, and at least five years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting
  • Experience representing developers in complex commercial real estate transactions
  • Strong experience with acquisitions and public and private financing
  • Solid real estate fundamentals, including title and survey review
  • Experience drafting acquisition documents and reviewing a variety of loan documents
  • Affordable housing development and/or public agency experience is beneficial, but not required
  • Excellent drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong academic and transactional credentials
  • Massachusetts Bar admission required

Compensation

For Massachusetts-based candidates, the anticipated base salary range is approximately $210,000-$217,500, depending upon experience, class year, office location, and overall qualifications.
