Contract Manager - Fairfield County, CT
Job Description:
We are working with a fast-growing company in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector seeking a Contract Manager to join its team in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The company will consider qualified candidates throughout the Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey area who are able to work a hybrid schedule in Fairfield County.
This is an excellent opportunity for a contracts professional with at least one year of experience in contract administration, legal operations, project coordination, or legal support who enjoys managing details, working cross-functionally, and taking ownership of processes from review through execution and closeout.
The Contract Manager will support the full contract lifecycle while working closely with Legal, Finance, Business Development, Project Management, Logistics, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and redline standard commercial agreements, including contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, amendments, and related documents
- Prepare contract redlines and concise summaries of key terms
- Track contract deadlines, deliverables, renewals, milestones, approvals, and other obligations
- Maintain accurate contract files, databases, tracking logs, and supplier documentation
- Support Statements of Work (SOWs) and Purchase Orders (POs), including reviewing required terms and attachments and coordinating internal approvals
- Assist with proposal and bid activities by reviewing contractual terms and identifying potential issues involving scope, pricing, schedules, flow-down provisions, intellectual property, and confidentiality
- Coordinate with internal business teams and external parties to gather information and facilitate contract execution
- Identify and escalate contractual and compliance risks as appropriate
- Respond to contract-related information and documentation requests
Qualifications
- At least one year of relevant experience in contract management, contract administration, legal operations, project coordination, or legal support involving agreements and documentation
- Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field
- Working knowledge of fundamental contract concepts, including terms and conditions, confidentiality, deliverables, and change management
- Ability to read and understand contract language and identify key provisions
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize key contractual terms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with contract management systems or related technology is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range is $65,000–$70,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
