Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant

 Job Description:

We are working with a dynamic and rapidly growing boutique law firm, located in a desirable Hartford suburb, who seeks a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant with at least four years of litigation experience in Connecticut state and federal court matters to assist the firms attorneys in administrative aspects of the firms active litigation practice.

Their ideal candidate will format briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents; e-file legal documents (state, federal, and appellate courts), calendar dates and manage court reporter services for depositions; process, compile, and maintain medical authorizations; prepare draft correspondence; edit legal services invoices; process expenses; make travel arrangements; answer phone calls; manage incoming mail; copy and file; track CLE requirements; assist with marketing and client development efforts; and other duties as needed.

They should be familiar with state and federal court procedures; preparing applications for admission to state and federal bars; and maintaining calendars. The position requires a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; great attention to details; excellent organizational skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and time management skills; the ability to work well under pressure, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
