Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Attorney

 Job Description:

We are working with an Am Law 200 firm, seeking a midlevel associate to join their Data Privacy & Cybersecurity team in their New York, Boston, Providence, Hartford, Stamford, Washington DC, Philadelphia, or Wilmington office.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in incident and data breach response, mitigation, remediation, coordination, and litigation, including investigations by the U.S. Office for Civil Rights and states Attorney General. They will be expected to provide counsel on security incident and data breach response, state and federal data privacy and security laws, and enforcement actions. Strong cybersecurity background and forensic data breach experience required. The candidate will also assist with technology contracts; compliance with state data privacy laws; and assist with data privacy litigation and other litigation matters, including drafting of briefs on critical motions, management of discovery, depositions, and court appearances. They also should be knowledgeable in the area of artificial intelligence.

Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and analytical skills are required large-firm or equivalent experience is a plus. Attorneys must be admitted in the state of their primary office location.

New York and DC Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $202,500. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
