Commercial Real Estate Associate

 Job Description:

We are working with a prominent, regional firm seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate with at least four years of experience to join their Stamford, Hartford, or New Haven office. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys on a variety of commercial real estate transactions.

Ideal candidates will experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, deeds and accompanying documents for real estate transactions; reviewing due diligence, monitoring contingencies, reviewing ad preparing title objections, survey and environmental reviews, closing documents and wire transfers; coordinating and reviewing title commitments and policies, UCC, judgment and lien searches, surveys, site plans and leases; supervising pre- and post closing matters, including preparation of documents for recording/filing; communicating with clients, banks, attorneys, and additional parties involved with the closing and filings of all transactions; coordinating and directing the review, management and preparation of commercial leasing documents; reviewing and negotiating leases including common area maintenance clauses; reviewing and monitoring agreements with developers, approval of conditions required prior to draw disbursement and developer payment; and drafting and reviewing initial documentation, obtaining approvals, modifying documents as necessary and coordinated document execution. Experience and/or interest in land use and zoning transactions preferred. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. CT Bar admission required.
