Office Manager

 Job Description:

We are working with a dynamic and rapidly growing boutique law firm, located in a desirable Hartford suburb, who seeks an Office Manager, who will be responsible for the day-to-day workflow, management, and development of the office administration staff including legal assistants and paralegals.

The responsibilities of the position include managing and organizing office operations and procedures including information management, filing systems, supplies, staffing and benefits; maintaining office equipment; developing and maintaining central filing systems; assisting in establishing and monitoring correspondence procedures and style preferences; clerical/administrative duties as needed which may include answering phones, e-filing, preparing correspondence or other documents, faxing, copying or mailing; providing day-to-day guidance and oversight of the staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems; keeping current on the overall activities of the team; identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions; and performing other duties as needed. This position interacts frequently with the firm's Managing Partner.

Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, and/or office manager, ideally with some staff supervision experience. In addition they should have a basic competence in the duties and tasks of the supervised employees; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a commitment to excellence and high standards; strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; the ability to manage priorities and workflow; the ability to work independently and as a member of a team; focused attention to detail; the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all levels; versatility, flexibility, and the ability to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm; be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; and have knowledge of Quickbooks, Bill4Time, and NetDocs or similar applications.
