Role Title: Head of Marketing
Our client is seeking a highly creative, commercially driven, and consumer-focused Head of Marketing to join the senior management team. This role is responsible for leading the companys marketing function, strengthening its brand positioning, and driving customer engagement and sales through innovative campaigns and strategies.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will have full ownership of marketing strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between brand identity and customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in retail and B2C marketing, with a proven ability to blend creativity with performance-driven results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement a robust marketing strategy that positions the brand as a market leader in its category.
- Align marketing initiatives with the overall business strategy, ensuring consistent brand voice and customer engagement across all channels.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Performance & Digital Marketing:
- Lead integrated campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels to drive measurable results.
- Develop performance marketing initiatives to optimize customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Explore and execute non-traditional marketing strategies to differentiate the brand.
Brand Development & Customer Connection:
- Ensure marketing communications speak the brands language and connect authentically with the target customer.
- Oversee brand storytelling, creative direction, and campaign production to maintain premium positioning.
- Drive initiatives that enhance customer loyalty and advocacy.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with retail, sales, and product teams to ensure marketing campaigns support in-store and online objectives.
- Manage external partnerships with agencies, creatives, and vendors (excluding marketing agency placement for this role).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline; Masters degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years proven B2C marketing experience with direct-to-consumer products preferably in fashion.
- Strong background in retail marketingexperience in the UK retail space is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to align marketing with brand identity and speak directly to the customer.
- Experience in performance marketing, digital campaigns, and non-traditional marketing strategies.
- Highly creative with strong technical expertise in leading a marketing function.
- Added advantage: prior experience with global fashion/retail brands (e.g., Next, Zara, Selfridges).
