Head Chef (Offshore)

 Job Description:

A well established company is currently recruiting for an Head Chef (Offshore) in Ghana

General Management and administration of the galley

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Cookery or catering.
  • Trained in Food Hygiene, first aid at work, Health abs safety in the workplace.
  • Valid Offshore certificates.
  • Must be qualifies to NVQ or equivalent.
  • Offshore experience is a mandatory requirement for the role.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the experience in preparing a wide variety of menus and dishes suitable for Ghanaian and expatriate staff.

Responsibilities:

  • General management and administration of the galley
  • Ensure all health and safety practices within the galley are implemented.
  • Supervision of catering team.
  • Ensure adherence to best food standards and safety practices
  • Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
  • Responsible for the choice ingredients that will give dishes the best flavor
  • Experiments to come up with new specialties to satisfy the crew.
