A well established company is currently recruiting for a Qualified 6G Pipe Welder in Takoradi, Ghana

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read welding procedure specifications (WPS)
• Proof of a previous welder test certificate as per ASME, AWS, or EN requirements and the capability of becoming a Certified Welder by passing the welder test certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
• Specific training courses in welding are a distinct advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform the assigned welding process, including SMAW, TIG, MIG, FCAW, and SAW.
• Reading and interpretation of drawings and welding symbols
• Work to the agreed specifications and requirements.
• Operation of welding equipment, gas cutters, and grinders in a proper and safe manner.
• Correct use of appropriate PPE and material handling equipment
• Use only calibrated tools.
• Safe handling of gases and electrodes
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and tidy.
• Under limited supervision, performs welding applications within work teams.
• Other duties, as may be assigned by the welding supervisor.
