A well established company is currently recruiting for a Shipyard Production Coordinator in Ghana

To ensure efficient operation and productivity of the shipyard

Minimum Requirements:

• BE/B.Sc. in marine or mechanical or electrical or any relevant field or a chief engineer degree with extensive experience with ships repair process and heavy fabrication process.

• 10 years or more years of experience in management and operation of shipyard units or onboard sea-going vessels.

• Detailed knowledge of shipyards trade and knowledge of regulatory requirements details.

• Detailed knowledge of shipyard cost structures and operational parameters, as well as associated regulatory requirements, OSHA, EPA, Local content regulations, etc.

• Conversant with flag and recognized organization requirements for sea-going and coastal vessels.

• A working understanding of the commercial and defense marine service industry, as well as repair and maintenance services, and class compliance practices is highly desirable.

• Conversant with use of Computer in MS Window and Outlook and CAD.

• Project management experience as well as a working knowledge of service contracts and service agreements.

• Outstanding communication (written and verbal both), leadership, and people management skills, with the ability to influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

• High level of managerial skills, problem-solving and fast decision-making ability.

• Pro-active attitude and ability to accept criticism.

• Ability to perform under high pressure and multi-tasking.

• Proficient clients and time management skills.

• Self-motivated and self-starter.

• High ethical standards, excellent interpersonal and empathetic skills.

• In-depth knowledge of shipyard management.

• Ability to delegate.

• Knowledge of public safety and security
