A well established company is currently recruiting for a Hydraulic Technician in Ghana

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in hydraulic cylinder, pump & valve repair with relevant educational certificate (HND preferred).
• Excellent practical hand on knowledge of Hydraulic system services
• Thorough understanding of engineering drawings
• Computer literate and numerate.
• Ability to operate forklift trucks.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school
• Specific training courses on hydraulics/pneumatics a distinct advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with assessments of a job with regards to techniques and alternatives where appropriate
• Reading and interpretation of drawings and sketches
• Work to agreed specifications and requirements
• Ensure the use of correct techniques and equipment to strip, repair, assemble and test cylinders, pumps and valves
• Checking tolerances, measurements using verniers, micrometers, gauges and electronic equipment.
• Ensure correct use of appropriate PPE and material handling equipment
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure the use and availability of only calibrated tools
• Enforce compliance to health, safety and environmental regulations within the Hydraulic section
• Maintain equipment, tooling and chemical inventory
• Ensure that work areas organized and adherence to good housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as may be assigned by Head of Department
