Estate Manager (Conveyancer)

 Job Description:

A well established Law firm in Tyger Valley Cape Town (Western Cape) is recruiting for a Estates Manager (Conveyancer)

Requirements and skills

  • Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer
  • Proven experience as an Estates Manager (+/- 5 years)
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
  • Excellent knowledge of related systems
  • Good understanding of market research methods
  • Business Acumen a hunger to grow the Estates department

Responsibilities

FINANCIALS:

  • Lead Generation & Sharing of Market Intelligence
    • 80/20 Principle. 80% of the company's existing client base to be retained annually
    • Grow database with one (1) new sources / agents per month, over and above existing business, (allowing you to make at least one new lead per month to generate your own business).
    • Monthly Target to be achieved = R500 000,00
    • 100% Accuracy required at all times
    • Any market threat to be discussed with Directors immediately
  • Effectiveness of scrutinizing new contracts received / Problematic Matters on WIP
  • All new Estate matters to be perused within 24 hours and allocated to the necessary Secretary.
  • All problematic matters outside of scope to be escalated to Directors within 24 hours

PROCESSES

  • Management of assigned duties and of employees
  • Accuracy / Timeous Weekly progress reports to Agents /Sources of Business / Clients
  • Accuracy & Completeness of Documents with Client Consultation
  • Adherence to laid down processes on all systems
  • Adherence to TAT i.t.o Workflow
  • Adherence to TAT i.t.o Pre-Prepping / Prepping workflow / Compliance
