Operations Engineer / General Manager Assistant

 Job Description:

A well established company is currently recruiting for a Operations Engineer / General Manager Assistant in Ghana

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred (First Degree)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, workshop operations, and project management methodologies is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist with monitoring workflow and production progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and suggest solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with workshop managers, technical managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure timely completion of jobs and deliverables.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
  • Assist with following up on pending orders with procurement
  • Assist with coordination of quarterly performance appraisals of management and workforce
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Handle inquiries and provide timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparation of reports and updates for senior management review
  • Any other tasks assigned by GM
