A well established company that offers professional steel processing services is currently recruiting for a Sigmanest Programmer / Draughtsman in the Cape Town area

Minimum Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 yrs. sales experience in the steel industry.
• Must have knowledge of sheet metal.
• Must have knowledge and experience in Sigmanest.
• Knowledge and experience in solid works and tube laser will be advantageous
• Must be well spoken, eloquent and confident.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Capturing customer orders on Sigmanest.
• Drawing of parts.
• Read and understand drawings.
• Double Checking of drawings to customer supplied drawings
• Checking for material availability, use of off-cut is priority
• Always refer to job instructions that were created by the sales department.
• Responsible for reporting any follow-up of orders or identified problems to relevant salesperson.
• Responsible for reporting any non-conformances to the Manager and/or Quality Manager.
• Ensure departments quality control required paperwork are completed as per job card procedure.
• Ensure that all special instructions given by the customer are captured and explained on the production supplied drawings, if necessary.
• Responsible for job card control in his area as per procedure
• Assist with Induction training. Always adhere to the drawing office work procedure.
• Assist with quotations on tube laser.
