A well established company is currently recruiting for a CNC Machine Service Technician in Ghana

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Service Technician to provide maintenance, repair, and technical support for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a thorough understanding of CNC technology. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to ensuring that our CNC machines operate at peak performance to meet production needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree or certification in CNC machine technology is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machine service technician or in a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of CNC machines, G-code programming, and machine tool operation.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with various CNC machine controls and software systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Availability for occasional travel to client locations for on-site service calls.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on CNC machines to identify potential problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components and parts to ensure machines are in good working order.
  • Calibrate and align machine components, such as tool holders, spindles, and guides.
  • Install, set up, and commission new CNC machines.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance.
  • Document service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and findings.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies for CNC machine repairs.
  • Provide training and support to machine operators on best practices and maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on CNC machines.
  • Stay updated on the latest CNC technology and software updates.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients regarding service appointments and progress.
