RELO: case by case (typically offer 10K relocation (lump sum), paid out when they first start)

Details:

- Looking for a good bread & butter operator that has a very strong relationship with the doctors. Help grow the staff, build staff, and grow staff. Keep them growing in the OR

- Managers - 1 Manager of the OR & manager of same day/pacu. OR Manager is newer. Looking for someone that can help develop that person.

Service Lines Available:

· Cardiac & neuro. Do a lot of. Lot of open heart. Cases: open hearts about 400/yr. Neuro - about 400/yr

· Also got a DaVinci SI, starting to grow that program as well.

· Have ortho program pretty good size, urology about 30 cases/week

  • MUST be a RN with BSN
  • Must have at least 3-5 year of Manager or Dir level experience in Surgical Services/ OR
  • Reports to the CEO


Position Summary:

The Director of the Surgical Services Department leads the preoperative team by focusing on safe patient care while effectively managing operations. The Director of Surgical Services has 24/7 responsibility for their departments.

Responsibilities:

Service

Accurately identifies actual/potential problems affecting the service and implements solutions with follow-through and communication.

Actively participates in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees as assigned, providing ongoing communication to those one represents.

People

Coaches subordinates by providing feedback; constructive critique of work; facilitates individual development plan; and documents their job performance.

Adheres to all Human Resource policies.

Effectively communicates departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff.

Effectively builds strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goals.

Quality

Enforces standards of care for surgical services and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.

Develops, implements, and evaluates an ongoing surgical services program that assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital's mission.

Monitors compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policy, environmental, patient, and personnel safety

Responsible for the departments operational excellence by ensuring the delivery of quality services following applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Finance

Develops, prioritizes, and defends a capital equipment request.

Is responsible for the fiscal management of the department; assures proper utilization of the organizations financial resources.

Requirements:

  • Current FL RN License
  • Bachelor's degree Required.
  • ACLS is required upon hire.
  • Five years of experience managing 15+ OR suites and at least three years of upper management in critical care.
