Tire Repair Technician

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate/ Diploma in Automotive Technology, Tyre Fitting & Maintenance, or a related course
• At least 1 year of experience in tire fitting, puncture repair, and maintenance of commercial vehicle tires (bus/truck tires preferred).
• Proficient in tire inspection, repair, rotation, balancing, and replacement.
  
• Experience with tubeless and tube-type tires, including vulcanizing and patching techniques.
• Ability to use tire changers, air compressors, pressure gauges, impact wrenches, and balancing machines.
• Skilled in measuring tire tread depth, checking alignment, and identifying uneven wear patterns.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy tires and operate safely in a garage/workshop environment.
• Understanding of safety practices and proper disposal of damaged tires.
• Must be able to document work, maintain service logs, and keep tools in good condition.
