About the job L2 SRE
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with ability to self-organize and plan and prioritise the work in an environment where multiple issues compete for attention.
- Application Support and Deployment of Release
- Apply security patches and system upgrades on a regular basis.
- Collaborate closely with other internal SRE and Dev teams/business users in investigating, testing and deployments.
- Contribute to developing and implementing automated CI/CD capability for our application.
- Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology and risk guidelines.
- Experience with supporting Java (J2EE/Spring Boot) based multi-tier applications with complex upstream downstream interactions having expertise in understanding the application request flow and analysing application logs for investigating and troubleshooting issues and application break.
- Manage Incident and support recovery of the application and drive root cause analysis.
- Support our production environment with strong performance tuning, end-to-end troubleshooting, networking fundamentals skills.
- Willingness to On-Call rosters as part of supporting the applications.
- Work effectively in collaboration with different teams either local or remote.
- Work towards high availability of our applications by putting in right Observability in place.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, with more than 7 years of relevant work experience
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues independently or provide guidance to others.
- Familiar with environment maintenance tasks like patching (OS, database)Good Technical & Troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on Experience in one or more of the following: Java Script, Java and Python, PowerShell
- Hands-on Experience in writing SQL queries for troubleshooting issues and issue analysis
- Hands-on experience on Java 8+, Multi-Threading, Microservices (Spring boot) and Restful API
- Hands-on experience on scheduling tools like Apache Airflow and Lumen
- Hands-on Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release strategies
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, practices, and methodologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and AWS/Azure
- Hands-on Experience with one of more of the monitoring tools (ELK, Grafana, AppDynamics, Kibana, Prometheus)High attention to detail with focus on understanding the issues.
