Summary of role
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Technology Project Manager to lead the technology workstream for a major office relocation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing all IT infrastructure, network, end-user technology and operational readiness activities to ensure a seamless transition with minimal business disruption.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end IT office relocation programme and coordinate all technical workstreams.
- Coordinate structured cabling activities with facilities teams, vendors and service providers.
- Oversee server room and network cabinet readiness delivered by third-party suppliers.
- Manage the installation, migration and configuration of network infrastructure and connectivity services.
- Coordinate testing, validation and remediation of network services prior to go-live.
- Ensure end-user technology readiness, including workstations, collaboration tools, printers and boardroom technology.
- Coordinate the migration and transfer of SD-WAN and WAN connectivity services.
- Manage stakeholder communication across business, facilities, vendors and technical teams.
- Lead cutover planning, go-live execution and post-move hypercare support.
- Track risks, issues, dependencies and project milestones, providing regular executive status updates.
Qualifications
- Matric and a Tertiary Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management certification.
- Agile or Scrum certification advantageous.
- ITIL Foundation certification advantageous.
Experience
- 10+ years' project management experience, with at least 5 years managing IT infrastructure, office relocations, data centre migrations or workplace technology projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple vendors, telecommunications providers and facilities teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN)
- Structured cabling and data centre/server room environments
- Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies
- End-user computing and workplace technology deployments
- Boardroom and audio-visual solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders and deliver projects within tight timelines.
