We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading government contractor, for a Database Engineer / Oracle DBA supporting high-impact Intelligence Community programs.

This role is focused on large-scale, highly secure, distributed systems with demanding performance, availability, and security requirements.

If you have an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly (FS Poly) and deep experience in Oracle database engineering, this is a high-priority opportunity.

What You'll Do:

• Design and support enterprise database architectures for complex systems
• Perform core DBA functions:
  • Data migration, replication, performance tuning
  • Backup, recovery, and user administration
• Develop and optimize:
  • Database schemas
  • SQL / PL-SQL queries
  • Scripts and automation
• Support high-availability, distributed data environments
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:
  • Systems engineering
  • Integration and test teams
  • Information assurance
• Participate in Agile / PI Planning activities
• Maintain detailed technical and system documentation

What You Bring:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly (FS Poly)
  • Must be within the last 5–6 years
  • Must align with Maryland IC customer requirements
• 10+ years of database engineering / DBA experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle (primary)
  • SQL / PL-SQL
• Experience with:
  • Data replication, performance tuning, backup/recovery
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, Perl, JavaScript)
  • Programming (Java preferred)
• Experience working in large, complex, distributed systems

Preferred:

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Agile / SAFe environment experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Critical Requirements:

• TS/SCI with FS Poly REQUIRED (no exceptions)
• Must meet Maryland IC poly requirements
• 100% onsite role
• No visa sponsorship available
