Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is recruiting on behalf of a leading environmental services organization seeking a hands-on, operations-driven leader to manage a high-volume Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

What You'll Own:

• Lead day-to-day operations of the MRF, including:

  • Gatehouse operations

  • Sorting lines

  • Loading and outbound logistics

• Drive throughput efficiency and reduce truck turnaround times

• Manage and optimize operational costs and budgets

• Champion a safety-first culture aligned to Mission-to-Zero standards

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

• Partner with maintenance teams to ensure facility uptime and reliability

• Act as a liaison for community and regulatory relationships

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop frontline and supervisory teams

• Build a high-performance, team-oriented culture

• Support hiring, training, performance management, and workforce planning

• Conduct and lead safety meetings and operational reviews

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of experience in:

  • Material Recovery Facilities (MRF), recycling, waste, OR

  • High-volume manufacturing, logistics, or industrial operations

• Proven experience managing teams in fast-paced environments

• Strong background in:

  • Operational efficiency & cost control

  • Safety compliance & culture-building

  • Process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)

• Ability to lead from the floor—not just the office

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: C$110,800 – C$140,300

• Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement, etc.)

• Bonus eligibility
