Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing organization for an Electrical & Controls Engineer who is ready to make a real impact in a high-performance production environment.

This is not a maintenance-only role—this is an opportunity to own reliability, drive automation, and lead meaningful engineering improvements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime through root cause analysis

• Lead and support electrical/control system projects from concept through execution

• Optimize PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems to improve plant performance

• Work hands-on with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve complex problems

• Support plant safety initiatives, including NFPA 70E compliance

• Drive continuous improvement and capital projects that enhance efficiency and uptime

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems

• Exposure to:

  • Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)

  • DCS/SCADA systems (Ignition, Wonderware, or similar)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset

• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with process control systems (water, compressed air, utilities)

• Familiarity with Honeywell (C300/C200) systems

• Continuous improvement or CI project experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000 – $105,000

• Full benefits package
