Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Quality Assurance Manager to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of all food products produced by our client. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and facilities to identify and address any potential quality or safety issues
- Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure that all food products meet quality specifications and are produced in a safe and efficient manner
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of raw materials and ingredients used in production
- Train and educate employees on quality assurance protocols and procedures
- Investigate and resolve any customer complaints related to product quality or safety
- Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage a team of quality assurance technicians and analysts, providing guidance and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.)
- Experience with food manufacturing processes and quality control methods
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
