Cath Lab Technologist

Position: Cath Lab Technologist

Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of cardiac procedures in the cath lab, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, under the direction of a physician

- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, equipment, and supplies for procedures

- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning and comfort during procedures

- Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as angiography machines and pressure monitoring systems

- Administer medications and contrast media as directed by physicians

- Document procedures and patient information accurately and in a timely manner

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols

- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend shifts as needed

- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities

Qualifications:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field

- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a cardiac cath lab setting

- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics

- Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and work occasional weekends

- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
