Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (FP&A) to join our esteemed manufacturing client's team. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis process, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management, and driving the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision making and drive business performance
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management, including financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth, and develop action plans to achieve financial targets
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior management
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, to understand business operations and drive financial performance
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis, and recommend improvements to processes and systems as needed
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key business drivers and provide actionable recommendations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial information to senior management
- Experience with financial planning and analysis software (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) is a plus
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members
- High level of integrity and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
