Job Summary:
As a fully cleared Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire proposal process from start to finish. You will work closely with the business development team, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to develop winning proposals that meet the needs of our client. This is a highly visible role that requires excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the proposal development process, including coordinating with cross-functional teams, developing proposal schedules, and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the client's needs, requirements, and evaluation criteria.
Work closely with the business development team to develop win strategies and proposal themes that align with the client's objectives.
Write and edit proposal content, ensuring it is clear, concise, and compelling.
Develop and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate content, and other resources to streamline the proposal development process.
Coordinate and facilitate proposal reviews with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts, executives, and other team members.
Ensure all proposal sections are integrated and consistent with the overall proposal strategy.
Manage the proposal production process, including formatting, printing, and delivery.
Track and report on proposal progress and status, including identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
Participate in post-submission activities, such as debriefings and lessons learned sessions, to improve future proposal efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the government contracting industry.
Active Top Secret clearance is required.
Strong understanding of the government procurement process and proposal development best practices.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and proposal development software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
