Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our esteemed client's team on a full-time contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures using advanced imaging technology. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, CT, MRI, and other advanced imaging technology
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures such as biopsies, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Monitor patients during procedures and make necessary adjustments to equipment or technique as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the most appropriate imaging techniques for each patient
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions or issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Continuously educate yourself on new technology and techniques in the field of interventional radiology
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting various imaging equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
