Position: RRT/Respiratory Therapist

Contract Details: Full time, 40 hours per week

Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our client's team on a full-time basis.  As an RRT, you will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition and needs

- Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation

- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings to ensure proper oxygenation and ventilation

- Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results to make appropriate treatment adjustments

- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely

- Maintain knowledge of current respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and medications

- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in all patient interactions

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

- Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification

- Valid state respiratory therapy license

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RRT in a healthcare setting

- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and medications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred
