Position Overview:

As the Director of Research and Development, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the research and development process for our client's nutrient and mineral products. You will lead a team of scientists and researchers to develop new products, improve existing ones, and ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and efficacy. This is a key leadership role within our client's organization, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the research and development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.

- Develop and implement strategic plans for product development, including identifying new opportunities, setting timelines, and managing resources.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and customer needs, and use this information to drive product development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to ensure that products meet customer requirements and are delivered on time.

- Oversee all stages of the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring that all products meet regulatory and safety standards.

- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as suppliers and research institutions, to stay updated on industry developments and incorporate new technologies into product development.

- Manage the research and development budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in nutrient and mineral research to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in research and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products in the food and beverage industry.

- Strong understanding of nutrient and mineral science and their applications in food and beverage products.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

- Experience with regulatory requirements and safety standards for food and beverage products.

- Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the health and wellness industry.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to travel as required.
