Position: AVP Auto, Technical Underwriting

Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP Auto, Technical Underwriting to join our client's growing team. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

As the AVP Auto, Technical Underwriting, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical underwriting process for our client's auto insurance products. You will work closely with our client's underwriting team to ensure that all policies are accurately assessed and priced based on risk factors and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the technical underwriting process for our client's auto insurance products

- Review and analyze underwriting data to make informed decisions on policy pricing and risk assessment

- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to industry regulations

- Train and mentor underwriting team members on best practices and industry developments

- Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and marketing, to ensure a seamless customer experience

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and identify areas for improvement

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to make necessary adjustments to underwriting practices

- Build and maintain relationships with insurance agents and brokers to foster business growth and retention

- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of new products and services

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in auto insurance underwriting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role

- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, practices, and regulations

- Experience with risk assessment and pricing methodologies

- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to team members and stakeholders

- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting software

- Active insurance license preferred
