Overview:
Our client, a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing sector, is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to lead and support Project Engineers across multiple plant locations. This individual will provide hands-on leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to drive excellence in capital project execution, safety, and continuous improvement.
This is a high-impact role for a strategic and technically skilled engineering leader with poultry industry experience and a passion for developing teams and driving plant-level innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage, coach, and develop a regional team of Plant Project Engineers, ensuring successful execution of capital projects across facilities.

Provide hands-on support and leadership in engineering design, project management, and technical troubleshooting.

Ensure that all projects are executed on-time, within budget, and in accordance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

Serve as a key partner in the development of annual capital budgets, providing regular updates on project status and performance.

Lead training and development initiatives to advance engineering capability and performance within the plant network.

Collaborate with cross-functional leadership (Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Compliance) to ensure engineering solutions support business priorities.

Enforce safety compliance across all projects and provide expertise in regulatory standards and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial).

7-10 years of progressive engineering experience in a poultry or food manufacturing environment.

Proven leadership or supervisory experience with engineering teams.

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and capital project planning tools.

Demonstrated expertise in managing plant-based capital projects, from design to execution.

Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability and willingness to travel across multiple plant locations (up to 20%).
Preferred Attributes:

Knowledge of GMP, USDA/FDA regulations, and plant utilities.

Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.

Experience in both greenfield and brownfield capital projects.
