Currently, we are partnered with a premier client in search of a highly talented Nursing Director.

This position is a management-level role that is performed fully onsite from our client's location.

Job Overview: As a Nursing Director with our client, you will be responsible for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department. You will establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and objectives while focusing on patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community as customers. This role involves continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration of department services and standards of care into the hospital's primary function.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise nursing staff and workflow
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and objectives
  • Approve timekeeping and employee evaluations
  • Meet applicable regulatory standards
  • Approve supply orders and participate in department strategic planning
  • Utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities
  • Interact frequently with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals, and volunteers

Qualifications: I. Education:

  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN
  • Preferred: MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field

II. Experience:

  • Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting
  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Directorial experience in a hospital setting
  • Must have previous OR experience

III. License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current Arizona Registered Nurse License
  • CPR certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
  • Personal computer skills
  • Self-motivated to complete work on time and meet deadlines
