Manager, Supply Chain Quality Assurance

Northwest Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager, Supply Chain Quality Assurance on behalf of a leading global manufacturing client in the food and consumer goods sector. This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving quality assurance strategy, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives at a flagship production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of plant quality operations, ensuring adherence to corporate, local, and ISO standards.
- Oversee food safety systems, regulatory compliance (HACCP, FSSC 22000, Organic, Kosher, etc.), and customer quality expectations.
- Manage and develop a team of QA and sanitation professionals, setting performance goals, conducting coaching, and supporting ongoing technical training.
- Drive root cause investigations and deploy a robust Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program.
- Serve as site quality lead during audits, regulatory inspections, and customer visits.
- Champion a defect-eradication culture through Integrated Lean Six Sigma and site Quality Pillars.
- Monitor and improve site KPIs related to quality, safety, sanitation, and compliance.
- Lead internal audit programs, consumer complaint investigations, and continuous quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (Required)
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within food, pharma, or regulated manufacturing
- 5+ years in a leadership role at a manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, GFSI, FSSC)
- Proven ability to manage audits, internal quality systems, and regulatory inspections
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing technical vendors
- Familiarity with sensory quality programs and analytical equipment a plus

- Compensation: Competitive base salary of $117,400$136,967 + full benefits package
- Relocation assistance may be available for the ideal candidate
- ️ Schedule: MondayFriday with flexibility as needed
- ️ Travel: Less than 5%
