Step Into a Role Where Your Expertise Keeps Production Moving
Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a world-class, highly advanced manufacturing operation to identify an Electrical Controls Specialist (Automation) who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
This is not a maintenance-only role.
This is a hands-on automation position where your work directly impacts production uptime, system performance, and continuous improvement at scale.
If you enjoy solving complex problems in real time and optimizing industrial systems, this role was built for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will operate at the core of plant performance, including:
- Programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing Allen-Bradley Logix5000 PLC systems
- Working with AC/DC drives, controls systems, and industrial automation
- Diagnosing and resolving live production issues to restore flow quickly
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, FMEA, RCM, SPC)
- Partnering with maintenance and engineering to eliminate recurring failures
- Supporting outage planning, upgrades, and small capital projects
- Acting as a technical leader and resource for plant personnel
What Makes You a Strong Fit:
We're looking for professionals who bring:
- 5+ years in industrial electrical systems & controls (required)
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot under pressure in live production environments
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or heavy industrial settings
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on root cause, not quick fixes
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with instrumentation (HART), drives, or combustion systems
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies
- Technical certifications or associate's/bachelor's degree
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Work in one of the most advanced manufacturing environments in North America
- Direct impact on plant performance, uptime, and operational excellence
- Opportunity to grow into technical leadership or engineering pathways
- Stable, high-investment environment with long-term career potential
Why Work With NWTS:
Northwest Talent Solutions is not a traditional recruiting firm—we are a talent advisory partner.
Here's what that means for you:
- Direct client access – We work closely with hiring leaders
- Faster process – Streamlined submission interview decision timelines
- Precision matching – We position you based on strengths, not keywords
- White-glove experience – Interview prep, insights, and transparent communication
- Led by a former VP of Talent Acquisition (Capital One, Amazon)
We advocate for you and ensure you're positioned to win—not just submitted.
Important Notes:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Onsite role with occasional off-shift or weekend support
- Relocation assistance available
