Network Engineer

Our client, a dynamic and innovative organization, is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a remote position, but candidates must be US citizens or green card holders residing within the United States.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure, a strong background in security, and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex network environments. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Develop and document network standards and procedures.
• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, etc.).
• Expertise in routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of network security concepts and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.).
• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with network virtualization (NSX, VXLAN, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
