About the job Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking Senior Accountants to join our team and deliver outstanding accounting services to our clients. We have openings for Senior Accountants in both our Private Enterprise team in Surrey and our Assurance team in Vancouver.
In this role, you will support Managers and Partners by handling both routine and complex client file engagements, ensuring exceptional client service. You will play a significant role in coordinating and guiding team members to meet client expectations.
We are looking for outgoing, proactive individuals who are committed to the team and willing to put in the effort to ensure that work is completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns.
- Participate in the planning, preparation, and completion of assurance engagements.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve key issues and discrepancies during assurance engagements.
- Guide junior team members in their daily fieldwork.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Demonstrate technical expertise and a strong understanding of professional standards.
ADDITIONAL TASKS
- Utilize CaseWare Working Papers to review or compile client information.
- Use tax software (Taxprep) to prepare or review tax returns.
- Manage your schedule and deadlines effectively to ensure budget and time recovery on engagements.
REQUIREMENTS
- You have completed your CPA designation, recently wrote the CFE, or hold an undergraduate degree and are nearing completion of your senior designation.
- You possess a minimum of 2 years of auditing experience in a public accounting firm.
- You can manage time efficiently and are familiar with tax, bookkeeping, and client software.
- You are deadline-driven and consistently complete work on time.
- You are prepared to work long hours when necessary.
- You maintain patience and composure while communicating with colleagues and clients to ensure their needs are met.
- You are an exceptional team player with experience working in a collaborative setting.
