About the Role
We are looking for a 4th Class Power Engineer with experience in managing and operating industrial power systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and ensuring the reliability of power generation and distribution systems in a mining environment.

The role requires utilizing extensive knowledge and experience to participate in the design, operation, and maintenance of capital projects at an industrial and mining environment. Occasionally, the position will involve reviewing and witnessing testing and commissioning activities, as well as troubleshooting critical assets.

  • Location: Labrador City, NL.
  • Work Schedule: 2/2 or 3/1 rotation. FIFO options available.
  • Compensation: Travel, living allowance, and accommodations/vehicle provided by NSAi.
  • Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities May Include

  • Operation and maintenance of industrial power generation and distribution systems.
  • Monitoring and controlling power plant equipment and systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Supporting commissioning of power systems.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of operational procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to power systems.
  • Preparing technical reports and documentation as required.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on various projects.

Qualifications You Will Need for This Role

  • 4th Class Power Engineering certification required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial power systems and equipment.
  • English is required; French would be considered an asset.
  • Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Applicants must have an unrestricted Canadian drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Completion of a background check and medical assessment satisfactory to the Client may be required.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment, including working at heights, in dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site-specific training will be provided.
