About The Role

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Discipline Engineer with a background in industrial or related sectors. This is a fly-in, fly-out contract role on a 20 days on, 8 days off schedule, with the potential to convert to a full-time, permanent position based in Labrador City. The successful candidate will have experience in electrical systems design, on-site troubleshooting, and project implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical engineering expertise in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for [industry sector, e.g., industrial, mining, or construction] projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and timelines.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolve electrical issues on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee site inspections, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including project reports, technical manuals, and maintenance records.
  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and efficiency of operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.

About you:

  • Registered as a P.Eng with PEGNL
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the industrial or related sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software and electrical engineering principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational schedule and travel to remote project sites as required.

Please note that you will be required to work in an industrial environment. This may include working at heights, dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site-specific training will be provided.
