Job description

We are currently looking for a highly qualified Consultant to join our team with knowledge, experience, and insights from academic or industrial R&D&I, although any business and go-to-market perspective will be a plus. You should be able to provide expert services to our growing portfolio of clients within such fields as micro- and nanoelectronics, chip-based systems, photonics, quantum technologies and ICT energy efficiency.

As a Consultant at Nordic Innovators, you will undertake proposal preparation in collaboration with our expert colleagues and innovative clients. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and large multinational corporates across Europe with high impact potential, able to shape a sustainable future.

You will work in a multicultural and highly diversified team, where you will play a key role in proposal development due to your educational background, experience, and insights both from a technical but also from a business/commercial perspective.

Together they will help you to develop yourself while providing training and mentorship, so that you become a part of our growing team of successful consultants who are consistently producing high-quality grant proposals for our European client base.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and writing high-quality innovation proposals for diverse EU and national funding programmes.
  • Leading client management processes from the outset with a focus on service and quality.
  • Conducting relevant research, analysis, and strategic decision-making pertaining to a successful proposal.
  • Collaborating on developing business plans and commercial strategies for ground-breaking solutions and projects.
  • Analysing ICT business models, competitors, and markets.
  • Extensive teamwork and collaborations across internal and external teams with a focus on stakeholder management.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in innovation, funding opportunities, and your areas of expertise.
  • Contribute to Nordic Innovators as a whole.

Candidate requirements

  • A university degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant ICT or Engineering specialisation, such as micro- and nanoelectronics, chip-based systems, photonics, quantum technologies, and ICT energy efficiency.
  • Having an additional business-related degree would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the ICT market and business models, including manufacturing and certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience preparing and writing EU funding proposals.
  • Understanding of the frameworks and procedures of European funding programmes.
  • Experience in carrying out online research into market data, scientific articles, and patents.
  • Fluency in English (C1, especially written and spoken).
  • Experience working independently and proactively with limited supervision.
  • A team player who contributes to the existing positive working environment.
  • Excellent people and communication skills to build a positive connection and to communicate professionally with clients, co-workers, and project partners.
  • Client-focused and forward-centric mindset with the capacity to inspire others.
  • Work permit in Spain.
