Job description
We are looking for professionals who are experts in writing proposals for the European Defence Fund programme, have a deep level of expert knowledge in this area, and can confidently lead client meetings and guide them appropriately.
As a European Defence Fund Consultant, you will participate as expert during the sales process, validate and scope client projects, lead the proposal preparation process in collaboration with your colleagues and innovative clients. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and large multinational corporates across Europe with high impact potential.
You will work in a multicultural and highly diversified team, where you will play a key role in proposal development due to your educational background, experience, and insights into the defence industry both from a technical but also from business/commercial perspective.

Responsibilities
- Participate as an expert in client meetings and play a key role in validating and scoping projects for the European Defence Fund.
- Writing and preparing high-quality, detailed proposals for the European Defence Fund programme and similar national and EU calls.
- Leading client management processes from the outset with a focus on service and quality.
- Conducting relevant research, analysis, and strategic decision-making pertaining to a successful proposal.
- Collaborating on developing business plans and commercial strategies for ground-breaking solutions and projects.
- Extensive teamwork and collaborations across internal and external teams with a focus on stakeholder management.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in innovation, funding opportunities, and your areas of expertise.
- Contribute to Nordic Innovators as a whole.
Candidate requirements
- Experience preparing and writing EU funding proposals, with deep knowledge of the European Defence Fund.
- Understanding of the frameworks and procedures of European funding programmes.
- Fluency in English (C1 minimum).
- A university degree (MSc or PhD) in one or more of the following fields: Engineering (Aeronautics/Space/Electronics), Computer Science (Cybersecurity/AI/Big Data), Mathematics (Simulation/Modelling/Algorithms), Physics, International Relations (Security Studies/Defence), Geopolitics or similar.
- Experience working as a Project Manager on European Defence Agency projects or other EU funding programmes is a plus.
- Experience working with defence companies or start-ups in this area is a plus.
- Experience working independently with limited supervision and being proactive.
- A team player who contributes to the existing positive working environment.
- Excellent people and communication skills to build a positive connection and to communicate professionally with clients, co-workers, and project partners.
- Client-focused and forward-centric mindset with the capacity to inspire others.
- Work permit in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, or France.
