Senior Engineering Lead (Due Diligence and Masterplanning)
Job Description:
Person Specification – Technical/Experience
- A high calibre and experienced Professional, with a technical background with the clear potential to develop.
- Minimum of a first degree and chartered qualification in engineering.
- Preference for a master’s degree in project or programme management.
- Demonstrable experience having successfully led multidiscipline technical teams on design of building or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable experience having successfully delivered technical site due diligence or pre-purchase appraisals for clients.
- Experience of delivering projects from a client project management perspective.
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with the design team in their development and delivery of the optimum solution to meet the client’s brief.
- Evidence of solid achievement and career development in project and programme management.
- Experience of business development for consulting services.
- Sound knowledge of developments and drivers in the sector.
- Good commercial and contractual awareness.
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and experience.

- Escalates issues as appropriate.
Delivery
- Oversees the progress of the Project and that it is delivered to programme.
- Takes action to resolve problems.
- Escalates issues as appropriate.
Cost
- Manages the processes involved in estimating, budgeting, and controlling costs.
- Manages the change control procedure.
Handover
- Manages the handover of completed projects to clients.
Other
- Manages risk that facilitates communication to others.
- Author’s client reports identifying key issues, matters for resolution and provides a clear and effective mechanism for exception reporting.
