Senior Backend Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing cybersecurity startup company, and as part of their continued growth, NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Singapore team.

The package is competitive at SGD 84k-156k (excluding bonus).

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape and develop the core backend architecture of our products. You should have strong experience in Rust or Golang and a solid background in building scalable, high-availability systems. This role involves close collaboration with product, DevOps, and frontend teams to take ideas from MVP to production.

What Youll Do:

• Design and maintain backend systems using Rust or Golang.

• Build low-latency, high-throughput solutions that process large data volumes in real-time.
• Take ownership of MVP development, iterating quickly based on feedback.

• Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack features.

• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code; contribute to code reviews and team mentorship.

• Stay current with backend trends and help guide technical direction.

What Were Looking For:

• 2-5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 1 year using Rust or Golang.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka.

• Background in building real-time, high-availability systems.

• Experience turning MVPs into stable, production-grade platforms.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, database design, RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, comfortable in fast-moving environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in cybersecurity or working at early-stage startups.

• Familiarity with containerization, microservices, and cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of other backend languages or frameworks.
