We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to strengthen our development service in digital transformations. The Cloud Engineer shall support Nitecos delivery/service teams with all aspects of cloud hosting service and infrastructure management in a software development project life cycle, monitoring and infrastructure-related tasks for our global clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Infrastructure monitoring

  • Set up audit logs, monitoring, infrastructure automation, SSL certificates, DevOps-related tasks and systems to track the health, uptime and performance of infrastructure components;
  • Monitor network traffic, server uptime, storage utilization, and other relevant metrics;
  • Configure alerts and notifications for potential issues or anomalies;
  • Perform troubleshooting when downtime (P1) issue happens and resolution of monitoring alerts;
  • Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance and availability.

2. Cloud Hosting Service

  • Provision and configure cloud infrastructure based on clients cloud policies, standards and requirements;
  • Deploy and manage virtual machines, containers, and other cloud resources;
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform;
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the cloud environment;
  • Setting up Backup, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery;
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.

3. Infrastructure Management

  • Regular maintenance and updates of operating systems, software, and patches to comply with clients security standards;
  • Monitor resource utilization and performance metrics;
  • Capacity planning and scale resources as needed;
  • Manage user access controls and permissions;
  • Implement security best practices.

Other tasks

  • Make sure all procedures, guidelines and best practices are documented;
  • Work closely with IT and Application Management Engineers to assist both internal and external clients;
  • Provide assistance to the other teams in the technical meetings with major clients on issues that relate to the expertise of Cloud/DevOps/Automation & Security;
  • Study and share new techniques, practice, tools and share for other team members;
  • Performing other tasks as required (such as ServiceNOW/security training and reporting).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, or relevant field;
  • Must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background;
  • Good communication skills (in English and Vietnamese). Be able to consult the customer with the best possible solution;
  • From 2+ years of experience in software development and operations, with at least 1 year working in DevOps, Infrastructure Management and Cloud hosting role;
  • Possession of the Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions certification (AZ-305) is a big plus. However, it is a must to have AZ-305 certificate after 3 months of working.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming skills with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell);
  • Familiarity with Git branching strategies and programming or compiling code in various languages (e.g., .Net, NodeJS, PHP);
  • Experience in developing websites using databases, preferably .Net and SQL Server;
  • Knowledgeable in managing services like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB/CosmosDB, Redis, Kafka;
  • Familiarity with web servers such as IIS, Nginx, Apache, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere;
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
  • High proficiency in working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Relevant certifications are highly regarded.
  • Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, IBM Cloud-based services, IBM Bluemix.
  • Good knowledge of system infrastructure (network, security, services, virtualization).
  • Expertise in securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) is a big plus.

Monitoring Tools:

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Azure Application Insights, Dynatrace, RayGun, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog, or equivalent systems.
