CDL-A Truck Driver - Paid Training for New Drivers - North Country

Plenty of North Country drivers finish CDL school and then realize the nearest decent trucking job is hours away. This one hires out of the Syracuse area and runs freight up and down the East Coast, so you can build a real career without moving your life.

Your Path From Student to Solo

You start by riding with an experienced trainer for 4 to 6 weeks, running actual loads and learning the lanes. That time is paid at $850 a week. When training wraps up you move into your own truck on full pay, and your first 3 solo months come with a $1,000 weekly guarantee.

Life on This Fleet

• Home Every 2 Weeks: Weekend options may be available
• Big Miles: Around 2,500 per week
• East Coast Freight: Loads stay east of the Mississippi River
• Dry Van: Drop and hook with some live stops

Money You Can Plan Around

• Average Weekly: $1,200 to $1,400
• Mileage Pay: 55 cents a mile to start, rising with each year of experience to a max of 65 cents
• Bonuses: $15 stop pay and a monthly performance bonus

What We Look For

• A valid Class A CDL and age 21 or older
• 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school, or 6 months OTR in the last year, or 12 months within 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no major preventable accidents in 5
• No DUI/DWI within 5 to 10 years
• Ability to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine testing
• Live within 200 miles of Syracuse, NY. We are not hiring from the New York City area for this fleet
